SUGGESTION: Replace the duel arena with an actual sand casino including slots, blackjack and roulette. Add a bingo too while you're at it. At least then we don't have to fake the duel arena being a place for gambling addicts.

Now for all I know, you may already have an analyst that has reviewed this and deemed it as “non-significant”, however I’ll assume that you haven’t ever run data on how many users go to the duel arena, stake, get cleaned and then take a long break. How can you run the analysis?
Grab a list of all users that placed a stake 100M and lost at the duel arena.
Grab the datestamp they lost the stake.
The hard part would then being working out “whether their activity dropped within a week or so beyond this date.”
I don’t know your database schema, but some suggestions would be: Number of hours played 6 months prior and after to find a significant drop. Number of logins (same concept) etc etc.
Just a suggestion, but as an analyst myself the sand casino would be an extremely intriguing data source to sift through. Thanks!
Delete Rev Caves, Sand Casino and make buying gold from 3rd party sites permabannable
Rev caves is only part of the problem for this shit and one of the main reasons for the huge presence of Venezuelans gold farming this game is because of the demand to buy gold. Jagex has it's own way to buy gold through them with the use of bonds, there's no excuse for it. Make the punishment a permanent ban, this will dissuade people from risking their account for gold and encourage them to use the avenues that ACTUALLY support the game. Sand casino is no better, it's a cancer in this game full of scammers and gambling addicts. Plenty of people I know lose big at the arena and wind up buying gold so they can lose that too. Likewise plenty of people I know sell their winnings. Is that the kind of environment that Jagex wants in their game? What actual benefit does that place even give to the game? Ree me idc, go buy more from "b o 0 go la g0 fuck ld ( d[] ) c fuck om" and kill the game more. This crap in the game needs to end, and Jagex needs to make an actual move, not some half baked cop out attempt.
So a real gambling site now allows OSRS gold as a withdrawal method. Who needs the sand casino when you can use a real casino?

I know the screenshot is a bit hard to read but they're offering the GP at a rate of $0.58 per 1 million. Not too sure how that compares to normal gold selling websites. Report the mobile apps to Google for gambling. Google currently has the games rated T for Teen and their only gambling rating includes 'gambling with real currencies' as Adult Only rating. Edit: On mobile the gamble references in barbarian assault changed to "lucky dip" to avoid this specific situation This would NOT get the apps removed from the app store, it would update the rating to Adult or at least higher than Teen. Jagex would freak the fuck out and knee jerk ban sand casino on mobile so we could get the conversation going with the higher ups. Note: on apple app store the apps are rated 12+ which (worrying to myself) allows 'simulated gambling' so the action to Apple might be to request specifically including gambling or simulated gambling inside the reasons for the rating. Currently it's only marked for violence and alcohol and such. Or you could argue that it is REAL gambling and not simulated. Further action could be made towards RS3 mobile since treasure hunter is a second form of gambling... Idk
Limit the GP amount staked at the sand casino to 10M
I agree there’s a problem with the dual arena. I do not like what that place does to people. Perhaps instead of removing it entirely , we can add a limit on the amount that can be staked. Or, if that’s not a good idea, we can limit the amount of times a person can stake money in the dual arena to 5 or so times a day. This way we can keep the game map unchanged, but also do something to help with the problem.
My theory about the Sand Casino and Wealthy players.
I just had a thought. In the Sand Casino there are three types of people : the fishes, whales, and mega whales. Fishes are people with 0-10b, whales people with 10b-100b and mega whales people with 100b+. In gambling theory, if you had an unlimited cash stack u could theoretically keep doubling up and always end up in profit. In game, although there isn't an unlimited cash stack, if you had a large enough stack relative to the other stakers there, you could keep staking others over and over and take many losses before getting cleaned. As long you keep doubling up, eventually you will win a stake and win back everything. If you are staking someone thats yolo all-ining, that one win will clean that person. Example: A has 100b, B has 100m and wants to do all-in chucks. A stakes and loses 100m A doubles up, stakes again loses 200m A doubles up again, stakes again and wins 400m A profits 100m, B gets cleaned. Over time, as A cleans more and more people, A becomes richer and richer while the rest of the people get cleaned. Now, we also know not long ago that rev caves produced a lot of gold into the game and the gold was primarily used for RWT. The gold produced by the venezuelans are sold to big buyers who then bring the gold to gamble in the sand casino. Since these gold buyers are non-whales, they inevitably get cleaned by a mega whale. What happens is mega whales then continue to get richer and all that gold that was produced from rev caves were, through this process, indirectly funnelled to the mega whales. It wouldn't surprise me if some of these mega whales have 200b, 300b or even more. Now, frankly these mega whales could literally sell all their gold and buy a car or house even. But what else could they do with that obscene amount of money? I'm guessing that they probably use that gold to manipulate the markets. They can easily buy up entire markets of expensive items such as Tbows or inquisitors and control the prices. They can do this to make billions per transaction and essentially, in real life terms they could be making thousands of dollars merching the grand exchange. This beats even trading in the stock market. This is my elaborate thought on the Sand Casino as well as what wealthy players do in this game. What do you guys think?
